Isiphetho: Destiny Kicks Of With 3.3 Million Viewers

The highly anticipated local drama Isiphetho—Destiny premiered with a bang, attracting 3.3 million viewers on 8th April and 3.5 million viewers on the 9th of April. This auspicious news coincided with the birthday of the show’s Creator and Executive Producers, Mpumi and Mandla N. The duo aimed to deliver a family-oriented story with a community at its heart, and they succeeded. Despite the challenge of crafting the show for a 6.30 PM time slot, they landed on a winning formula with the help of e.tv.

The first episode of Isiphetho: Destiny introduced viewers to intriguing tales and insights into each character. Portia (Tsholofelo Maseko) was involved in a heist, Ntando (Upile Bongco) buried her husband, and Buhle (Mbalenhle Mavimbela) walked down the aisle, only to say, “I DO NOT.”

What’s coming up next is sure to have viewers hooked. Ntando returns to Mzimhlophe from the Eastern Cape, and Buhle runs from the altar to the hostel to pursue her dreams. Meanwhile, Portia has slipped beyond the law’s grasp, but the same cannot be said for her gangster lover, and we see how sly Mosa can be.

Follow the drama with Isiphetho – Destiny weeknights at 6.30 PM on e.tv.
